Bowtie #8

It was only a matter of time before I found myself making a leopard print bowtie. I figured I would KFC-double-down and make one that is only leopard print. I now hope to find more options for leopard print in fun colors like these.

The green side of this tie reminds me of a bass guitar I modified and painted when I was in a band in Chicago. My cousin sold me this "trainer" bass in a garage sale and it was cheap enough that I considered it a project bass. It was black, so I painted it white and then green, using the mis-tinted house paint I had picked up from the hardware store. While the paint was soft I scratched away the paint to make a similar leopard pattern.

I don't really have more to say about the orange side of this. Maybe it's less fun than the green side because leopards are naturally closer to orange in color than they are to green, but this side has vibes that give recollections of hair metal bands.

I wore these sides on January 29th and February 2nd (though I can't remember which came first).
