Bowtie #78
Halloween Theme Month #3
This one is simple. Maybe too simple for a whole post. Then again, knowing me, I will remember some silly story from 20 years ago that is barely related to this tie but is conjured up in my head by the particular width of the stripes and then write five paragraphs on it at the bottom of this post.
That won't happen here, though. The Orange side looks better on camera and makes me look less formal than the black side. I wore this so the black diamond tip poked out of the back of the orange side and vice versa.
I know it's the wrong color for it, but the one thing it does evoke for me is Haunted Mansion from Disney. I don't think I can remember this sort of striped pattern anyway, but I am certain it would be shades of purple or green and not orange nor black. Or maybe it's black and purple or black and green.
One thought I had as I put this one together was to turn the stripes to be horizontal on one end of the tie, but I opted not to, since I am starting to think more critically about how I want the orientation of the print to be on the diamond tip that is behind the front of the bow in a tied tie. When I wear my owls, you'll get a sense of what I mean.
I wore the sides of this tie on the 8th and 9th of October.
