Bowtie #58

Despite including this tie in the "Mid-90's Ashley Home Furniture Upholstery Collection", I am quite fond of it. It looks good on most of my blue shirts, it is interesting enough to be worth looking at (it isn't boring) while it would also work well in most formal settings. I get the sense that it would be at-home with a lot of the floral bowties you could buy for wedding parties on Etsy, but it's somehow too feminine to make any money in that market.

The berries side stands out the least, and looks like it could be on chairs upholstered in the past 10 years, so it's maybe a bit more contemporary than the fabric I used in the Featured Image of this post.

The leaves here are throwing me off on determining which plant (plants?) this fabric features. The berries look a bit like blueberries, with the little burst fray on the bottom of the berry, but they look more like faded cranberries in their color. What confuses me most though is that the leaves do not appear on either of those bushes.

Now, the back side of this, with the pink flowers, it's my favorite. May be one of my favorite floral prints yet. I like that it stands out, it is eye catching, and I can wear it while I work on my knitting. I want to use the fabric to line my basket of sewing supplies. It's just so perfectly odd for my typical fabric.

I wore the iterations of this bowtie on the 24th and 28th of July. .
