Bowtie #23

I did not mean for the week of these bowties to have a theme, but flowers persist. I especially like how this design feels like it's from the 60's or 70's. It could have lined a box or been the backdrop of the podium on a game show.

The baroque look of the filigree on the opposite side of this tie is really special. If you catch it from the corner of your eye it even looks like it's actually a 3D relief on the bowtie.

As a side note here, while I am thinking about it, I never venture outside of wearing bowties made from fabric. I don't wear ties with LEGO studs on them, or metal accents attached to their tips, or beads or studs or jewels dotting their surface. I don't wear ties made from wood cut to articulate like fabric. I'm somewhat unsure of why, as I'm not a purist, I just don't particularly like those types of ties. Maybe I am more of a purist than I give myself credit for, even if I am wearing cotton ties.

Again, my records are a little unclear for the weeks in which I wore these ties, but I think I wore the flower side on the 3rd or 7th and the card side on the 10th or 13th.
